Rate This Podcast was born out of a frustration with hearing those common words that we're all accustomed to as podcast consumers: "If you enjoyed this episode, don't forget to leave us a review wherever you listen to podcasts."

For a typical listener that is not practical advice! The majority of podcast apps don't include a way to write a review. For those that do, the process is often complicated and difficult to explain.

The primary goal of Rate This Podcast is to make it dramatically easier for your listeners to leave a rating or review for your show. No matter what kind of device they're using.

Reviews are important. They help prospective new listeners to figure out if a show is right for them and whether or not they want to follow/subscribe. More positive reviews act as social proof to bring in new listeners. It's often their first impression.

Monitoring reviews is also a real pain for podcasters. They're spread out all over the place. Apple maintains a separate list of reviews for almost every country!
